Back to the lovely Melbourne today for Rob's uncles 50th Birthday which was held at the iconic Young and Jackson's located directly across from Flinder's Street train station.
Whilst in Melbourne we were staying a beautiful hotel the Hilton South Wharf, it had amazing views and when we booked in for tea the lady offered us a free 45 min salsa lesson, as I had been drinking free champagne most of the day this seemed like a great idea, but after 15 mins we were out of there!
But it something that I have wanted to try for a long time, so Rob promised we will do some classes sometime in the future.
We had a beautiful meal at the hotel then headed back into the city to check out the view from the Eureka Sky Deck ( I still can't believe I lived in Melbourne for so long but still have not been to all the tourist attractions)
So up we went to the 88th floor, now remember how I'm afraid of heights, well I thought I may be able to cure it before we do our sky jump in may.
So I decided we should go out on the edge. (the edge is a box that comes out side of the building from the 88th floor that is made out of glass so when you look down you see all the streets far far below you)
This was a bad idea. As soon as I walked out I could not let go of the rail and I started swearing and yelling at anyone that said anything to me, I was petrified the glass was going to break, not to mention the sound of the box sliding out the side of a building did not sound very secure at all.
After staring out the side of the window and refusing to look down I ran back into the building shaking.
But was able to bring myself back out into the box to get a quick photo before running back inside to hide.
This is not good. I can't believe I was so hysterical, How am I going to jump out of an aeroplane at 12000 ft ?
Here's a pic of me out the front of Flinder's st station, (again something I never thought to do when I lived in the city.. the things we take for granted aye)
